CONSISTENT CELEBRATIONS
“After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.” (John 5: 1)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture introduces the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda. Notice that this man was seen by Jesus at a time when there was a feast of the Jews. Others were celebrating but the man at the pool of Bethesda was left out. Others were celebrating but the man at the pool was afflicted. Others were celebrating but the man at the pool was carrying a negative burden. Others were celebrating but there was pain for that man.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2024, you will not be crying as others are feasting. You will not be mourning as others are celebrating. You will not be caught up in negativity when others are celebrating milestones. You will not be at the pool of Bethesda when others are enjoying the good of the land. You will not be left out when good things are happening to others. You will not be down and out when others are up and about.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2024, you will not be stagnated when others are advancing. You will not be rejected when others are being accepted. You will not mourn while others are celebrating and being congratulated. You will not suffer loss whilst others are making gains. You will not be counted amongst them that were in the list of the unfortunate. You will not be swallowed by the afflictions that swallow men.
You may have watched others feasting while you nursed your pain and shame secretly, but in 2024, it will no longer be so. You will not be an example of those who are to be pitied. You will not be an example of those in reproach. You will not be counted amongst them that are caught up in tragedies and misfortunes. You will not be caught up in negative situations. You will not be in tears when others are caught in joy and celebration.
Welcome to that season where you will celebrate even if others are mourning. Welcome to your new season of consistent celebrations.
Isaiah 25: 6 says: “And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.”
