DIVINELY EXEMPTED
“Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.” (Matthew 2: 16)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
It is instructive to observe that Herod eventually got all the children in Bethlehem who were two years and below, killed, but he was never able to get Jesus killed. Herod unleashed negativity on the children that were in Bethlehem, but Jesus was not a part of it. He discharged disaster in the entire Bethlehem, but Jesus was exempted. Negativity caught up with several children in Bethlehem, but Jesus was miraculously exempted.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are exempted from every evil that wants to swallow your generation. You are exempted from the wickedness of the wicked. You are exempted from the tragedies that come with the season you are in. You are exempted from the traps that destroy the destinies of great men. You are exempted from the evil decrees that want to swallow your generation. You are exempted from negativity.
At a time when several families were in bitter tears on account of their children who had just been murdered by Herod, the family of Joseph and Mary were not a part of it. Others were crying bitter tears, but they were exempted. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are exempted from the bitter tears of those around you. It may happen around you but it will not happen to you. You won’t be swallowed by what swallowed others.
The oil of exemption is upon you. You will not suffer the disaster that others suffered. You will not be swallowed by what swallowed others. You will not go down the way others went down. You will not be a victim in the same way others became victims. You will not be reduced as others were reduced. You will not suffer the negativity that others around you have suffered or are suffering. You are not a candidate for collective disaster.
When others are cast down, you shall declare that there is a lifting up. When others go down, you will go higher and higher.
Psalm 91: 7 says: “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”
Declare With Me: Negativity may happen to others, but I am exempted, in Jesus’ name!
